9 Years in Jewelry

Since 2015

Case by Kase Collections began in 2015 with the realization that my childhood love of rocks and dirt was something I could cultivate to be more than just an admiration from afar.
When I was a little tike, I would come home to my mother’s dismay, pockets full of dirt and random rocks from the yard, and little fossils from the creek. When we would go on family trips, I would always gravitate toward the tumbled stones and “mine for your own rocks” events instead of go-karting and shopping for clothes.
It wasn’t until I was older that I thought, maybe I’m not growing out of this, and maybe it’s a great part of my personality. Just maybe, I can do something with this. Since then, I’ve delved into multiple ideas involving the art forms that I’ve witnessed and loved, and the ideas that came along from the dusty recesses of a childhood adoration.

Meet the Makers

About Will:

My art form is slightly different than Kase’s. We run the business together, but we complement each other in our different strengths and weaknesses.

My main art is my life before tangible art—my cooking. I’ve been a chef for years and that’s the one thing I love to do most. Some of those skills transfer over to the business in ways that you might find funny—I love to torch things.

If you see something that has a colorful finish, it’s probably a flame patina; I did that. If anything requires being drilled and burned out, or leathered (for instance, octopus tentacles) I did that too.

About Kase:

My favorite part of the craft is giving life to items that would otherwise be lost to time, or the elements…(ie. incorporating bones and expired octopus from restaurants into necklaces).

I have a background in chemistry experience and a love of nature.

I studied the process of electroforming for two years before jumping in, and eventually made some invaluable friendships in the community.

I am an eclectic green witch—I mainly work with plants in my craft and thought it would be a great idea to incorporate some of that into the business with our altar items collection.
